I find this article very informative, but I purchased a starter plant in a garden store for Italian parsely and basil. I put them in a larger container. Your instructions tell me how to start from seeds. My plants aren't looking good. The basil has small seedlings or flowers on top. Should I pinch those tops off or leave it alone? The parsely is dying. I will try putting them in potting soil. I thought putting it in pots, I can taking them in at nightime, to prevent the animals from eating them. Your atricle gave me the most info, thank you
