Foreign Language for Travelers is a beautiful website...I really liked being able to learn words in any language just by clicking a button! Great info about the countries. This site is a definite must-see.

I used the site to learn Spanish. I am also attending a course but am finding the lecturer very hard to understand. I have learnt more on this site than in my Spanish Class. I found the subject areas to be very good and the fact that you can hear the words/phrases etc and repeat them. I found this very helpful in getting the pronouciate right. I would have liked to have seen the subject area refering to shopping give some phrases on how to deal with bartering and haggling. Such as 'No too expensive', 'Make it cheaper' 'I only have' 'Deal' etc. I have just come back from the Dominican Republic and I loved it, but I would have liked to have spoken Spanish so that I would have been able to barter or haggle with the shops/beach vendors.... I am going back next year and your site has helped me alot. Hopefully my Lecturer will fill in the gaps...!!!

I needed quick translations of commonly asked phrases in Farsi to impress a beautiful woman from Iran and this site was perfect, even letting me hear proper pronunciation. Thank you, travlang.com. Plus there's a cool little quiz after to see how much you've leared.
