Vanessa 22-January-2003 - 22:58:22 Hey I think your sight is awesome. And if I were still in gymnastics it would really help me out. After training for 12 years and being off for 2 years, I can't keep my mind out of the gym. Then I seem to remember of the bad times and can't imagine going back to that, then I'll think of the good times. I'm also in a very tough situation because I'm on an all-star basketball team, and I really like basketball but still I keep thinking back to gymnastics. I find gymnastics is the best sport to win and the worst to lose in (if you let it) To everybody still involved I am speaking from a lot of expirence, don't let a bad competition get you down, like I did. Let it motivate you to suceed. And make sure you stretch and condition, I know it is a pain when you have all the equipment there ready to maybe learn that great new move, but the most part why I had to quit was because I got a lot of inguries (that probably could of been prevented) and I lost strength and then as a result wasn't able to do skills at 12 that I could do when I was 7. I don't know if I could go back, but I guess if I'm meant to go back it will all work out! Good luck to all the gymnasts and coaches this year and years to follow. Kepp working hard and make sure you acutally want to quit before you end up like me saying that I want to go back but don't know if you can.
